\nTerm: Full-time/permanent
\nLocation: Onsite in Gowanda, NY
\nTravel:  Candidates must have clean, valid license for company and/or personal vehicle use.
\nWork Schedule: Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
\n Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
\nCompensation:  starting at $19.57 Per Hour with rate increases every work anniversary.

\nJOB FUNCTION:
\nThis individual will provide case management, rehabilitative, and restorative services to residents within our Community Residence Program. Counselors are responsible for teaching, coaching, and monitoring residents’ daily living activities in a community residence or apartment setting, in order to develop skills, abilities, and experience that will facilitate greater opportunity for the resident to live independently. .
\n
\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
\nEducation, Experience, and Knowledge\n\n

Bachelor’s degree in human services-related field; or an associate degree in human service-related field and three years’ experience in human services; or a high school diploma and five years’ experience in human services.
Must possess a working knowledge of current issues and concerns of people with mental illness, rehabilitative training methods, and community resources.

\nOTHER DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n

Maintain cleanliness of the residence
Medication management
Compassion, sensitivity and understanding for individuals suffering from mental illness and substance abuse.
Professional demeanor
Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
Be able to travel to and among various facilities that are multileveled with stairs only.
Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
May be required to use personal vehicle for programmatic purposes. (Mileage reimbursed for site-to-site travel).
Criminal Background check approved by NYS Office of Mental Health
