Assistant Residential Manager - (FULL TIME)

 

DEPARTMENT:       Prendergast Community Residence Program - Jamestown, NY 

                                               

SCHEDULE:           Sunday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

                                Monday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

                                Tuesday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

                                Wednesday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

                                Thursday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

                                                        

SALARY:                Minimum $19.25/hr.

 

AVAILABLE:           ASAP

 

JOB FUNCTION:

To assist the Residential Manager in the day-to-day operations of the community residence program.  Supervises community residence program staff and service implementation.  Provides case management, rehabilitative, and therapeutic services to residents.  To teach, counsel, and monitor residents’ daily living activities in a community residence or apartment setting to develop skills, abilities, and experience that will facilitate more significant opportunities for the resident to live independently.

 

                

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

  • Minimum education and experience: high school diploma/GED and customer service experience. Healthcare or behavioral health experience is a plus.

  • Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field or an associate degree in a human service-related field and three years experience in human services or a high school diploma/GED and five years experience in human service. 

  • Must possess a working knowledge of current issues and concerns of people with mental illness, rehabilitative training methods, and community resources.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have a home/cell telephone.

  • Be able to travel to and among various multi-level facilities with stairs only.

  • Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

  • May be required to use personal vehicle for programmatic purposes.

The NYS Office of Mental Health, NYS OMIG, and other regulators require criminal background and pre-employment checks.
